Project Vrikka is a life-affirming initiative launched by The Avanti Foundation to tackle the growing burden of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in India. This project is dedicated to making life-saving dialysis treatment accessible and affordable for patients in underserved regions—starting with Jammu and its surrounding districts.
The Urgent Need
Chronic kidney disease is a silent crisis affecting millions across India. For patients with end-stage renal failure, regular dialysis is not optional—it is the only lifeline. Yet, the high cost of treatment and lack of nearby facilities make dialysis inaccessible for countless families.
Project Vrikka aims to bridge this healthcare gap by providing low-cost, high-quality dialysis services where they are needed most.
Our Mission
To ease the financial and emotional burden of kidney disease by:
- Establishing affordable dialysis centers in collaboration with local healthcare partners.
- Offering subsidized or free dialysis sessions to patients from economically weaker sections.
- Ensuring trained medical staff, safe equipment, and compassionate care at all centers.
- Promoting awareness and early detection through community health drives.
The Model
Each dialysis center under Project Vrikka is designed to:
- Operate sustainably with minimal patient cost
- Handle 500–1,000 sessions monthly depending on local need
- Partner with NGOs, hospitals, and CSR donors for funding
- Expand outreach through mobile health vans and telemedicine

- Support 500+ dialysis patients annually per center
- Lower treatment costs by up to 70%
